Golbarg Khorsand has dedicated more than two decades to English and translation. She holds two master’s degrees, a PhD, and has taught at universities, training students for their ESL, IELTS, and TOEFL exams. For the past five years, she has been immersed in the fascinating and inspiring world of IB at both DP and MYP levels.
Students undertaking lower MYPs, upper MYPs, and DPs can benefit from her teaching. In DP, she teaches both English A Lang & Lit and English B and runs a course on General Academic Writing. She also mentors DP2 students and has experience as a homeroom teacher for the MYP2s.
Golbarg also has experience mentoring students for their Internal Assessments, TOK, or Extended Essays. She spent three years providing one-to-one afternoon support to prepare them.
In her free time, Golbarg enjoys reading and writing poetry. She also loves singing and playing the piano and has recently joined a Milonga for Tango dance lessons.
