Jeff Penn has taught social sciences for 27 years in seven different countries. He enjoys helping students better understand the world in which they live and how they can make meaningful change. Jeff’s specialism is in DP Economics and Business Management.
Where he particularly excels is teaching complex essay components; he dissects them and reframes even the most challenging questions to give his students a new (and easier) perspective. His passion for the written word, his years spent as an IB examiner and his knowledge of current affairs are assets for any student preparing for the Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate curriculums.
When Jeff isn't preparing lessons he enjoys hiking in the forests near his home, travelling to new places, and pottering in his garden. He is also an organist, singer and conductor. The kitchen is his other playground and a firm believer that exploring other cultures through food is one of life's true joys.
